Australia: Woodside Announces Non-Executive Director Appointment

Woodside has appointed Dr Christopher Haynes OBE as a non-executive director effective 1 June 2011. Dr Haynes was nominated as a director by Shell Energy Holdings (Australia) Ltd. Dr Haynes is currently Executive Vice President, Upstream Major Projects within Shell’s Projects and Technology business

Woodside has appointed Dr Christopher Haynes OBE as a non-executive director effective 1 June 2011. Dr Haynes was nominated as a director by Shell Energy Holdings (Australia) Ltd.

Dr Haynes is currently Executive Vice President, Upstream Major Projects within Shell’s Projects and Technology business. He has had a 32-year career with Shell including as General Manager of Shell’s operations in Syria and a secondment from Shell to be Managing Director of Nigeria LNG Ltd. From July 1999 to October 2002 Dr Haynes was seconded to Woodside as General Manager of the North West Shelf Venture. Dr Haynes will retire from Shell on 31 August 2011. Dr Haynes is appointed as a non-independent director. His independent status will be re-assessed by the Board following his retirement from Shell.
