Heesen Yachts, the Dutch shipyard and world leader in the construction of luxury superyachts, is proud to introduce its new app – now available in the iTunes Store for free download. This is the first iPad application launched by any shipyard within the superyacht industry.

The Heesen iPad app allows users to browse an extensive gallery of all Heesen’s latest launches, ranging from 37 to 65 metres. It includes the basic specifications and features of every yacht in the Heesen fleet, plus a selection of movies and images of the very latest projects.

As well as being highly accessible, the Heesen iPad app provides intuitive and highly visual information about the yard and its yachts. Users can compare up to four images at a time and can email individual images to their contacts.

Heesen Yachts

Founded by Frans Heesen in 1978 in Oss, the Netherlands, Heesen Yachts was the first Dutch shipyard to use aluminium alloy for the construction of yacht hulls. Since then the yard has become a world-leader in the design, engineering and build of high performance, all-aluminium motor yachts. In ShowBoats Global Order book 2011, Heesen is ranked fourth in the Top 20 Custom Builders.

In 1992 Heesen Yachts expanded the business to include the construction of traditional displacement long-range steel-hulled yachts and today the company delivers magnificent private yachts from 37 to 65 metres in length. The incredibly high standards of quality, reliability and seaworthiness are proven during intensive sea trials in the rough waters of the North Sea.

Currently, fifteen yachts, whose combined lengths total some 723 metres, will be delivered to their owners by 2015. Heesen Yachts, with designs driven by the latest technology, epitomise state-of-the-art yacht-building.
