Costa Favolosa, the new flagship of Costa Cruises has successfully completed her official sea trials. The ship, the 15th in Costa’s fleet, after it was dry-docked in the Port of Trieste til mid-May, completed her first crossing during which tests were conducted to verify the correct operation of the various systems, equipment and engines.
During her stay in the shipyard, the ship built by Fincantieri in Marghera, her hull was coated and cleaned, in preparation for her sea trials. After she was put through her paces in the open sea, with a series of running tests on the ship’s systems, machinery and engines, the Costa Favolosa returned to the shipyard in Marghera to complete the fitting out of the interiors prior to being placed into active service.
