Ballasting of Prirazlomnaya ice-resistant oil platform continues at 35th Ship Repair Plant in Murmansk.

Foundation concreting works are carried out by contracting agency JSC Germes possessing two advanced mobile concrete plants, required equipment and materials. Ballasting is performed in accordance with production schedule; over 1,000 cubic meters of concrete is loaded each day. It is planned to complete the operation in 1.5 months.

Concrete is delivered by railway; one part of it is stored for contingency cases. Composition and batch of concrete is made automatically and permanently monitored, commented deputy director general of Sevmash shipyard Valery Borodin.

Generally, scope of works increasingly grows, especially electric and assembling operations. Nevertheless, number of assembling fitters, welders and electricians must be increased.
