Dolphin Geophysical AS announces that TGS has exercised their option to extend the contract for the Polar Duke by two months.

This secures work for the vessel to early October 2011, at which time TGS have a second option to extend the contract by another six months.

“We are very impressed with the Polar Duke and the performance of the crew. This proves Dolphin’s ability to deliver efficient and safe operations to TGS and prospective clients” , states Phil Suter, VP Marketing and Sales.

TGS recently commenced the acquisition of multi-client 3D seismic data in the Hoop Fault Complex area of the Barents Sea . This survey is an extension of the previously announced Hoop Fault Complex survey and will add 1,800 km2 to the existing data in the area.
