The Black Magic Emax Tanker achieves a 50% to 100% reduction in fuel consumption and GHG emissions by harnessing the collective maritime resources (Emax) from the sun, wind, waves, and currents at sea.

Along with six other Green-tech companies, Sauter Carbon Offset Design is nominated for the Sustainable Shipping Environmental Technology of the Year Award

The Ocean Empire LSV (Life Support Vessel) exemplifies the innovative use of existing technology that will transform Super & Megayacht vessels into self sufficient ocean going platforms. (RINA Super & Megayacht Conference).

The winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on July 7, in London, UK.

The Emax IMO PANSAT (Port of All Nations Satellite) is a Circumnavigating Maritime Institute, General Assembly Conference Center, and Post Carbon Cruise Ship. Moored in front of the UN, her Turbine Props Generate 1.5MWs of power per day. Her PV Exoskeleton up to 15MWs per day. Her MDR system up to 2MWs per day and her Auxiliary SkySail up to 30MWs per day. At an average speed of 14 knots the ‘Zero-Carbon’ cruising range of the Emax IMO PANSAT is unlimited.

As a Certified Carbon Offset Project her reduction in Global Warming GHG Pollution is over 5,000 tons of CO2 per year. (RINA Super & Megayacht Conference)

Over 150 experts involved in the maritime sector from over 20 countries will gather at the 2011 Sustainable Shipping Awards to celebrate those companies and individuals making great strides to shape and improve the environmental legacy of shipping.
