Norway: Bergen Group Wins Transocean Winner Contract from Semco Maritime

Bergen Group Hanøytangen has been awarded a contract from Semco Maritime in connection to a yard stay at Hanøytangen for the rig Transocen Winner in July /August 2011. Bergen Group Hanøytangen will be a subcontractor to Semco Maritime in the project estimated to a period of 45-50 days. The contract is pursuant to the LOI announced in May.

The work scope includes yard services, personnel, logistics, moorings, quay facilities and accommodation. For Bergen Group Hanøytangen the contract has an estimated turnover value of some tens of millions.

Bergen Group Hanøytangen has during the last three years built up a functional, efficient offshore yard and service area on Askøy north of Bergen. The company has since its establishment carried out several extensive rig operations on different platforms, including three other units from the international rig- and drilling contractor Transocean; Polar Pioneer, Transocean Searcher and Transocean Arctic. Bergen Group Hanøytangen is part of Bergen Group’s offshore division together with Bergen Group Rosenberg in Stavanger and Bergen Group Offshore Kimek in Kirkenes.
