Havila Shipping has been awarded a Charter Party Contract by Statoil for a large PSV vessel for a fixed period of five years with three optional periods each of one year. Havila Shipping gave no details about the price of the Charter Party.
The charter shall commence during December 2012 and in order to deliver this service Havila Shipping will build a Havyard 833 L platform supply vessel at Havyard Ship Technology`s shipyard in Leirvik, Norway. The newbuild contract is worth NOK 360 million.
As of today Havila Shipping operates six vessels on long term charter with Statoil.
