Offshore Energy’s Committee of Recommendation, which includes CEOs and managing directors of Chevron, Dockwise, Imtech Marine Group and Damen Shipyards Group, will have its first meeting on 29 June 2011. Navingo, organizer of the Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (11&12 October 2011), formed this committee following the announcement of relocating Offshore Energy to Amsterdam RAI.

Event organizer Navingo aims to develop Offshore Energy in Amsterdam into a leading international two-day offshore event. Both exhibition and conference will provide an excellent opportunity to position the Netherlands as an international offshore country. In order to realize these international ambitions, an international media campaign has been launched and Offshore Energy is being promoted at leading offshore events around the world.

International ambitions need a Committee of Recommendation

In addition, a Committee of Recommendation has been formed. The members of this committee will advise the event organizers about the ongoing professionalization of the Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference. Next to those mentioned above, directors and general managers of Mercon, GDF Suez E&P, Tullow Overseas, NOGEPA, Keppel Verolme, Holland Shipbuilding Association, Van Oord, IRO, Jumbo Offshore and Siemens have joined the committee.

The committee will meet for the first time on 29 June in Rotterdam during a “diner pensant”. Topics to be discussed are the current international developments in the offshore industry and how these developments will be addressed within the conference program; how to attract more international exhibitors; and how to utilize Offshore Energy’s unique selling points even better.
