Ulstein Power & Control AS has secured a record contract with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ yard in Nagasaki, Japan for the delivery of the communication and infotainment system ULSTEIN COM®.

The contract is for the delivery of two, plus an optional two, ULSTEIN COM® systems to be installed on board Ramform W-Class vessels to be built for Petroleum Geo Services (PGS) at the Nagasaki yard. It is the most comprehensive ULSTEIN COM® contract to date.

“The contract with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ yard in Japan is an important milestone for ULSTEIN COM® and testimony to the quality and performance of the product” , says COO Power & Control in Ulstein Group, Gunnar H. Hide.

The ULSTEIN COM® scope of delivery is an integrated communication and infotainment system including telephony, redundant PA (Public Address) system, on-demand IPTV (IP based TV), CCTV onto IPTV, as well as battery-less telephony.
