OMS Australia Wins Manning Contract for Transocean Drillship

Offshore Marine Services Australia (OMS) has been awarded the manning contract for the drillship Deepwater Frontier. The R&B/Samsung designed drill ship was built in 1999. Offshore Marine Services Australia (OMS) has been awarded the manning contract for the drillship Deepwater Frontier.

The R&B/Samsung designed drill ship was built in 1999. OMS will be providing marine crew and rig crew on-board this drillship.

The drillship is expected to arrive in Australia North West Shelf towards the end of September 2011 at which time it will commence the drilling program with EXXON MOBIL for the Jans project. The programme will be for approximately 800 days.

Recruitment of marine and rig personnel has already commenced and the first crews will look at joining the Deepwater Frontier in Singapore on/around mid-August 2011
