Bergen Group Wins Pipe Installation Contract for Newbuild Offshore Vessel

Bergen Group has, through its subsidiary Bergen Group Skarveland AS, received a contract with the Norwegian yard Hellesøy Verft AS for complete pipe installation valued NOK 22 million.

The contract is related to a newbuild offshore vessel for a Norwegian shipping company. The delivery will be completed in Q1 2012. With this contract, Bergen Group Skarveland has delivered piping systems to the last six offshore vessels outfitted at Hellesøy Verft AS.

Bergen Group Skarveland is part of Bergen Group’s Technology Division and is localized at Sunde, Hordaland (Norway). The company has a strong position as supplier of complete pipe installations for vessels and offshore structures. In addition to being a part of Bergen Group’s value chain in shipbuilding and offshore, the company has a substantial portfolio of external customers.

Bergen Group is a maritime industrial group with core expertise within shipbuilding, maritime service, offshore and technology. The Group has a total of 1,700 employees along the Norwegian coast from Kirkenes in the north to Stavanger in the south. The head quarter is located in Bergen.
