Poland: PGNiG Denies Entering LNG Supply Deal with Luce Energy

In view of the information published on the Internet between June 30th and July 1st 2011 concerning a letter of intent for liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies to Poland, Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA represents that it has not executed a letter of intent with Luce Energy for the supply

In view of the information published on the Internet between June 30th and July 1st 2011 concerning a letter of intent for liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies to Poland, Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA represents that it has not executed a letter of intent with Luce Energy for the supply of 1 million tonnes of LNG and crude oil per year over a period of 15 years.

Furthermore, PGNiG SA has not entered into any other agreements with Luce Energy.

In June 2009, PGNiG SA and Qatargas Operating Company Ltd executed an agreement for the sale and supply of LNG from Qatar to Poland. Under the agreement, Qatargas will supply 1 million tonnes of LNG per year over a period of 20 years, starting mid-2014.
