The International Forum “Marine Industry of Russia” 2011 (18-20 May, 2011) has successfully finished its work.

268 companies from Russia, Germany, Hungary, Croatia, Poland, Finland, Switzerland, Norway, the Netherlands and Ukraine showcased their products and participated in the business events of the International Forum “Marine Industry of Russia” 2011 (18-20 May, 2011). 4,100 professional visitors and officials attended the Forum 2011.

The 3rd International Exhibition & Forum “Marine Industry of Russia” 2012 will take place at the exhibition hall “Gostiny Dvor” from 16 till 18 May, 2012. The Forum is initiated in accordance with Russian Federation Government Decree № 217-r, dated February 15, 2011 and organized under support of the Marine Board at the Government of RF, Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of RF, Ministry of Industry and Trade of RF, Ministry of Transportation of RF, Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport of RF, United shipbuilding corporation, State Corporation Russian Technologies, industry Associations and Unions.. The event is focused on shipbuilding development, port modernization, implementation of modern technologies in marine engineering and civil shipbuilding. The Forum facilitates the open dialog between representatives of the industry, government agencies and business to show main trends and directions the shipbuilding industry should be developed.

Work on the organization of the Forum proceeds at full speed, the Organizing committee of the Marine Industry of Russia 2012 to be lead by the Deputy minister of the Industry and Trade of Russia – Denis Manturov.

The Forum includes exhibition (14.000 m2, over 200 participants from 20 countries) and equally important business programme.

Major subjects of the Forum:

• Shipbuilding and ship repair

• Ship power plants, systems and electrical facilities

• Ship navigation, control and communication systems

• Shipboard machinery and facilities

• Sea and river ports

• Industrial services
