On July 13, SOCAR President Mr. Rovnag Abdullayev met with Mr. Phil Mulhall, ExxonMobil Regional Manager for Europe and the Caspian Region and Mr. Steven Mann, chief advisor on international issues. Mr. Abdullayev informed the guests on the latest achievements of Azerbaijan in the oil and gas industry.
In turn, ExxonMobil officials highly estimated those achievements and reminded the opinions on development of cooperation between ExxonMobil and SOCAR, which were sounded at the meeting with Mr. Rovnag Abdullayev in February in London. They noted that they were interested in extension of relations with Azerbaijan. As Mr. Abdullayev mentioned, ExxonMobil is one of the first international oil and gas companies operating in Azerbaijan. According to him, the company successfully cooperates with SOCAR on major regional projects. Mr. Abdullayev expressed confidence that the two companies would continue to successfully develop business partnerships formed in the previous period.
