Statoil has received consent to use new pipelines and a new well on the Åsgard field.

Statoil is the operator of production licence 094 on Åsgard with an ownership interest of 34.57%. The other licensees are ENI AS (14.82%), Total (7.68%), Petoro (35.69%) and ExxonMobil (7.24%).

In connection with the Åsgard gas transfer project and the Smørbukk Nord-Øst project, Statoil has applied for consent to use a new gas injection pipeline and jumper between the G and Åsgard A templates.

At the same time, the company has applied for consent to use a new template, NB, and a new pipeline, NB-101. Production from a single well on NB will be tied in to existing template N for transporting products to Åsgard B via the new pipeline, NB-101.

The new gas injection pipeline (G-101) and jumper G-102 will enable combined production and injection for templates G and K, and is scheduled for use from September 2011.

Production from template NB is scheduled from approx. 1 December 2011.
