Vietnam: Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard Holds Keel Laying Ceremonies for Three Vessels

Today afternoon, 04 August, 2011, Keel Laying Ceremonies have been carried out for 3 vessels at once having Hull No. S059, S046 and S067.

S059 – 60, 000 DWT Bulk Carrier- is the first ship ordered from Hyundai Merchant Marine Co., LTD (Korea), S046 – 56,000 DWT Bulk Carrier-is the first order from Geden Lines (Turkey) while S067 – 37, 000 DWT Bulk Carrier-is the 4th vessel in the series contracted with Hi Gold 22 International S.A (Hi-Invest), Korea. In the ceremony, the representatives from owners, Yard and Class Society (KR & DNV) took commemorative photos together as well as exchanged management and production experience.

The S059 is the longest amongst the 3 vessels with length of 200m, breadth of 32,26m and depth of 18,6m while the S046 is 187m in length, 32,6m in breadth, 18, 3m in depth and has the speed of 14, 5 knots per hour and the S067 is 187m in length, 27.8m in breadth and 15m in depth.

According to the production plan, S059 and S046 are expected to be launched on November 03, 2011, delivered at the end of January 2012 while S067 is scheduled to be launched in February 2012 and delivered at the end of March 2012.
