Yesterdayday in Khabarovsk, Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee moderated a meeting dedicated to building up the Company’s resource base in the Far East.
The meeting participants were informed that the Kolskaya jack-up floating drilling rig made in Russia had been delivered today to the Magadan Port from Murmansk. Upon installation of ancillary equipment, the facility systems readiness test and its delivery to the production site, Gazprom will initiate prospecting drilling offshore Western Kamchatka.
Construction and installation activities aimed at boosting the comprehensive gas treatment unit (CGTU) capacity in the Kshukskoye field are nearing completion in Kamchatka. The increase in the CGTU capacity will allow receiving natural gas both from the Kshukskoye and the Nizhne-Kvakchikskoye fields. Comprehensive testing of four producing wells is currently going on in the latter field. The use of a single CGTU for two fields will significantly increase the economic efficiency of their development.
The meeting addressed the progress with preparations for the Kirinskoye gas and condensate field pre-development offshore the Sakhalin Island. It was highlighted that delivery of equipment for the onshore processing facility (OPF) was going on according to schedule and the construction sites preparation was launched. Around 100 kilometers out of 139 kilometers of pipes required to construct a gas pipeline from the OPF to the Sakhalin MCS have been delivered.
Based on the meeting results, the tasks were given to ensure timely implementation of the work related to Gazprom’s resource base development in the Far East.
