Norway: Statoil Gets Consent to Use Deepsea Atlantic on Gullfaks

Statoil has received consent to use the Deepsea Atlantic mobile facility for production drilling on Gullfaks. Statoil has received consent to use the Deepsea Atlantic mobile facility for production drilling on Gullfaks.

The consent relates to drilling and completion of three wells (34/10 F-3 AH, 34/10 F-1 H and 34/10 G-4) in production licence 050.

The expected start up is 10 September 2011 (34/10 F-3 AH) and the duration of the activities has been estimated at 385 days.

Deepsea Atlantic (pictured) is a type MODU GVA 7500 drilling facility operated by Odfjell Drilling AS. The facility was completed in 2009 and is registered in Norway. The classification society is DNV.

Deepsea Atlantic received an Acknowledgement of Compliance on 8 July 2009.
