China: CIC Jiangsu Shipyard Starts Sea Trials for Two New 57.300DWT Bulk Carriers

On August 10, 2011, two new ships built by China Shipping Industry (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. moved away from No. 3 outfitting quay for sea trial. On August 10, 2011, two new ships built by China Shipping Industry (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. moved away from No. 3 outfitting quay for sea trial.

At 14:55 P.M. that day, the fifteenth 57300T bulk carrier (Hull No. CIS 57300-18) for China shipping development Co., Ltd. tramp. Co. drew out from No. 1 quay berth on sea trial voyage. Subsequently, at 15:58 P.M., the first 57300T bulk carrier (CIS57300/A-09) for Guangzhou Zhenxing Shipping Co., Ltd. drew out from No. 4 quay berth on sea trial voyage.

It is the first time for Jiangsu Company to run sea trial of two ships on the same day. The above-mentioned two ships are planned to be named and delivered in Shanghai Changxing Island after trial voyage, which are also the tenth ship and the eleventh ship respectively delivered by Jiangsu Company this year.
