During today’s Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, Mr. J.M. Hessels was appointed to the Supervisory Board of Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. for a four year term. He will also chair the Supervisory Board.

Mr. Hessels (68) fulfills the function of chairman of the Board of NYSE Euronext, Inc. and is member of the Supervisory Board of Heineken N.V. Mr. Hessels is also member of the International Advisory Board of SC Johnson Corporation and chairman of the Netherlands Committee for Economic Policy Analysis. Mr. Hessels has formerly occupied the position of Chief Executive Officer of Royal Vendex KBB N.V. Furthermore Mr. Hessels held various positions as director and supervisor of several other companies.

Mr. Hessels is considered to be very qualified to fulfill the function within the Supervisory Board due to his extensive management experience gathered within numerous of listed international companies.
