Today in Murmansk from the shipyard of the Zvezdochka Shiprepairing Center, following the completion of all startup operations, the towing of the Prirazlomnaya offshore ice-resistant stationary platform to the Prirazlomnoye field started.

The platform is transported by means of Vladislav Strizhov versatile icebreaker and Kigoriak, Neptun and EEMS tug/supply vessels. The platform towing to the field will take some two weeks. The towing route will be 1,200 kilometers long.

The platform will provide for every process operation at the Prirazlomnoye field: drilling, production, oil storage, preparation and shipment of final products. The platform is fully adopted for operating in severe natural and climatic conditions and designed for the maximum ice loads.

Drilling of the first production well from the platform is to be started before the end of 2011. According to the field development project, 40 wells will be drilled.
