Serimax has been awarded the welding works for Total’s CLOV SURF project offshore Angola.

This project, to be carried out in 2012 onboard Subsea 7’s new flagship vessel, the Borealis, involves welding of approximately 5500 welds of 10″ and 12″ pipes, at water depths between 1000 and 1400 meters. A large part of the Scope of Work will be welded in J-Lay, and includes corrosion and fatigue-sensitive sections.

This award further strengthens Serimax’s position in the West Africa deep-offshore market, and its relationship with longstanding partner Subsea 7.
