The Netherlands: BritNed Development Appoints New Management Team

BritNed Development Ltd., the joint venture company of National Grid and TenneT, that operates the BritNed Interconnector between Great Britain and The Netherlands, has a new management team.

René Kerkmeester has been appointed as the new Commercial Director of BritNed Development. In his new role he will be responsible for all aspects of Commercial, Regulations, Trading and Finance.

Phillip O’Gorman has been appointed as Operations Director. He will assume all the operation & maintenance responsibilities to maintain and enhance BritNed’s availability. He will be working closely with René Kerkmeester to develop robust Ancillary Products and Services for the future.

In addition to René Kerkmeester and Phillip O’Gorman, the management team includes Steve Coomber and Damian Bach, who remain in their roles as Financial Manager and General Counsel respectively, and David Friend (previously Contract Manager Converters) who has taken on the role of Commercial and Trading manager.
