Norway: Rocksource Spuds Well at Phoenix Prospect

Rocksource ASA announced today that the drilling rig “Borgland Dolphin” has commenced drilling on the “Phoenix” prospect in PL 559 in the Norwegian Sea. Rocksource ASA announced today that the drilling rig “Borgland Dolphin” has commenced drilling on the “Phoenix” prospect in PL 559 in the Norwegian Sea.

Phoenix is interpreted as an extension of the nearby Linerle discovery with a shared Oil Water Contact (OWC)

The PL 559 partnership consists of Rocksource (Operator and 60 per cent working interest), VNG (30 per cent) and Skagen44 (10 per cent).
