After a lot of hard work, Welltec has secured a legal entity and opened a new office in Aktobe, Kazakhstan. In close parallel, Alex McKay, Area VP for Russia/Caspian, and his team have secured a contract with Zhaikmunia Company and have successfully completed a number of jobs using Well Tractors.

Caspian Business Development Manager, Dave Clayton says: “ We have an extremely promising business outlook planned for Kazakhstan whilst also targeting other countries within the Caspian region. We are focused on providing excellent service quality and delivering efficient solutions to our customers. We are determined to tackle all corners of the region working in close coordination with our established team in Russia to support each other as we go forward.”

The Republic of Kazakhstan is a place with great potential for Welltec. This country has doubled their oil output over the past decade to become the second-biggest producer in the former Soviet Union after Russia. According to the Oil and Gas Ministry, this Central Asian country has ambitions to raise production to 100 million tons by 2015. Currently Welltec is the only provider of Tractor technologies working in Kazakhstan.
