Vietnam: Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard Launches Bulk Carrier for ESL Shipping

On 15 September 2011, at HVS Dock No. 1, the launching of 56,000 DWT Bulk Carrier having Hull No. S042 was successfully hosted with attendance of representatives from Owner, DNV and the Yard.

This is the first vessel in the series of two under the contract signed with ESL (Finland). Built in accordance with the international regulation of ice class bulk carrier, the vessel can be suitably operated at low ambient temperature of -30oC.

Its main particulars:

Length overall: 197 m

Breadth: 32.26 m

Depth : 18.5 m

Draught: 11.1 m.

Speed: 14.5 knots

At the present, HVS is doing all efforts to complete the remaining works to be ready to deliver this vessel in the end of November this year as the plan.
