Based on increased activity in Brazilian waters, Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers (KNOT) has decided to establish a representative office in Rio de Janeiro. Lars Ole Hagland is appointed Manager of the Brazilian office.

Lars Ole Hagland has background from Knutsen OAS Shipping and Statoil, and has also been based in Brazil for a period of 5 years before, and speak fluent Portuguese.

The office in Rio de Janeiro will assist in the communication between the office in Haugesund and the charterers in Brazil as well as assist in relation to practical matters regarding contact with local authorities and suppliers. The office will generally follow the local market to identify further business opportunities.
