On Sep.20th, 2011, the 69.9m AHTS Vessel ARCHON TIDE (Hull No. YX3135) built by Yuexin Shipbuilding Company for Tidewater finished a successful sea trial. The speed reaches 14.13 Knots and the bollard pull reaches 107.76t.

Applying the design of FOCAL MARINE & OFFSHORE CORP LTD, YX3135 measures 69.9m in length with a moulded breadth of 16.6m and a moulded draft of 4.5m. It can carry 40 men and the deadweight reaches 2350t, including 760m3 fuel oil disposal loading, 1450m3 drill water, 550m3 portable water, 410m3 mud, 250m3 dry cement and 140m3 sea water as well as a great deal of lubrication oil and sump oil. What’s more, with a clear deck area of some 450m2, it provides ample space for working withy rig anchors, chains, wires and buoys.

YX3135 is equipped with twin GE main engines, each rated 3052 HP at 1050 rpm driven through two Twin Disc gearbox. A pair of Berg controllable-pitch propellers endows the vessel with excellent propulsive performance. Maneuverability and station-keeping are enhanced through the use of triple Schottel side thrusters and dynamic positioning.
