Vietnam: HVS Holds Naming Ceremony for E.R. Schiffahrt’s New Bulk Carrier

On 29th September 2011, Naming Ceremony for the 56,000 DWT Bulk Carrier-has been successfully hosted under attendance of representatives from Owner, DNV, HVS as well as Sponsor, Mrs. Vo Thi Hong Phuc.

Hull No. S009, which has been officially named E.R. Bornholm, is the last vessel of the series of the 10 contracted with E.R. Schiffahrt (Germany).

Similar to her sisters, she has main particulars as follows: Length overall: 197 m Breadth: 32.26 m Depth : 18.5 m Draught: 11.1 m. Speed: 14.5 knots

At the ceremony, Mr. Johan Marinus Huisman, Senior Director of E.R. Schiffahrt, highly appreciated the Yard’s hard effort in timely building the qualified vessels. Taking this opportunity, HVS President & CEO, Mr. C.W. Song honoraby presented Plaques of Appreciation to Mr. Huisman and Mr. Popieluch, Site Manger with our heartfelt gratitude for their kind cooperation and support for the completion of E.R. Schiffahrt project.
