Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari said Pakistan urged for early completion of the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline.

Addressing a meeting with the Interior Minister of Iran, Mostafa Mohammad Najjar, the president said Pakistan urged for early completion of the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline as well as 1000MW Taftan-Quetta power transmission line, Fars News Agency reported.

President Zardari told the visiting Iranian Minister that both Iran and Pakistan are key regional players.

He went on to say that, the two countries needed to deepen cooperation in all areas particularly trade, energy, security, communication and infrastructure.
