Norway: Ekofisk Oil Field Gets Accommodation Platform

The jack-up vessel «Haven» has been successfully installed at Ekofisk in the North Sea as accommodation platform. The jack-up vessel «Haven» has been successfully installed at Ekofisk in the North Sea as accommodation platform.

The gangway between «Haven» and Ekofisk was connected late July, and has already operated for more than 2 months with satisfied guests .

«Haven» can accommodate 447 persons in single cabins and 30 day visitors. The mess can serve more than 220 hungry persons at the same time. For the Ekofisk operation there will be a high level of activity on the helicopter deck with an anticipated 5.000 landings and takeoffs per year.

«Haven» is owned by Master Marine and operates for ConocoPhillips. OSM have full management.
