Formerly known as the “Clara del Mar”, the Con/Ro vessel “Volcan de Teneguía” has joined the fleet of OPDR Canarias S. A.

Designed by OPDR and built in 2007 under OPDR supervision, the “Clara del Mar”, now known as the “Volcan de Teneguía” was the third in a series of vessels. Her sister vessels are the “OPDR Andalucía” and “OPDR Canarias”.

The “Volcan de Teneguía” was reintroduced into the OPDR Canarias’ “Canary Islands Express” service where she was previously deployed from 2007-2009, in early September 2011.

With departures three times per week, the “Canary Islands Express Service” boasts the fastest, most reliable and most economically friendly connection from Madrid & Seville to the Canary Islands.

“We are happy to have the ‘Volcan de Teneguía’ in our fleet“ , says OPDR Canarias Managing Director Claus Peter Claussen . “With three vessels now in service, we are able to provide our Customers with the best service.”
