Petrobras and BG Brasil recently signed a Technical Cooperation Agreement (TCA) at the Petrobras main office building to join forces in developing key technological solutions for overcoming the challenges they both face.

The three-year agreement will initially cover well construction and production optimization. Over this period, joint investments are projected at some R$60 million for developing the technological solutions required.

The agreement was signed by Petrobras E & P Production Manager, Solange Guedes, and by BG Brasil CEO, Nelson Silva. Executives and technical staff from both companies were also present.

In the pre-salt area, BG Brasil and Petrobras are working together in blocks BM-S-11 (Lula, Cernambi and Iara), BM-S-9 (Carioca and Guará), BM-S-10, BM-S-50 and BM-S-52, all in the Santos Basin.
