EnerMech has secured a multi-million pound crane maintenance contract from Maersk Oil North Sea UK Limited (Maersk Oil) for assets operating in the UK.

The contract covers the inspection, periodic maintenance and engineering support for all deck cranes on-board the Janice FPU, Gryphon and Global Producer III FPSO’s managed and operated from Aberdeen.

With an estimated value of up to £3m over the three year (plus two) contract term, EnerMech will deliver a range of technical services through its onshore engineering team, to maintain the assets, deliver major crane upgrades and provide assurance of mechanical integrity.

It is the mechanical engineering company’s first FPSO crane maintenance contract for Maersk Oil.

EnerMech will deploy its newly developed EnerMech LIVE online crane management system to support the Maersk Oil contract. EnerMech LIVE enables clients to view critical documentation, from certificates through to inspection reports, thereby increasing visibility of the vessel’s cranes certification status and regulatory compliance.

EnerMech’s cranes and lifting director, John Morrison , said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this major crane contract. Our aim is to not only provide excellent service but to deliver additional value through existing, complimentary contracts already in place.”
