Golar LNG Limited announced today that, further to the announcement on October 6, 2011, that it has completed the sale of the companies that own the floating storage and regasification unit Golar Freeze to Golar LNG Partners L.P.

The Golar Freeze is operating under a 10 year long-term contract with Dubai Supply Authority (DUSUP) with a remaining firm contract period of approximately 8.6 years.

DUSUP has the right to extend the charter term for up to an additional five years.

Golar LNG is one of the world’s largest independent owners and operators of LNG carriers with over 30 years of experience. Company developed the world’s first Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) projects based on the conversion of existing LNG carriers. Golar LNG lead the industry with committed projects. With progressing plans to grow their business further upstream via Floating liquefaction (FLNG), their strategic objective is to become an integrated midstream player in the LNG industry.
