On Oct.18th the steel cutting ceremony for 320,000 DWT Crude Oil Tanker J0132, which will be built by Zhongji Shipyard as a subsidiary company of Jinhai Heavy Industry, was held at cutting and processing site in joint workshop. Vice President of Zhongji Shipyard Mr. Xia Zhen and Senior Surveyor from ABS Mr. Robinson attended the ceremony.
This is the third VLCC for Jinhai Heavy Industry, while a new ship type for Zhongji Shipyard.
It has been classified by ABS, with LOA 333m, LBP 320m, Molded Breadth 60m, Molded Depth 30.5m, Scantling Draft 22.5m, and Max. Speed 16 knots/h. This VLCC has been arranged in Dock 7 following PSPC standard, and its technical index fully meeting the latest maritime specifications and standard requirements.
Jinhai Heavy Industry Co ., Ltd, originating from Jinhaiwan Shipyard Co., Ltd, is a large-scale shipbuilding company built in the light of modern enterprise system. It’s set up by Zhouji Group,and its share is held by Grand China Logistics Group under HNA Group when joining in HNA Group in July 2009. The company is regarded by Zhejiang provincial government as one of the key projects leading the adjustment of the provincial economic structure and developing the equipment manufacturing industry. It is also awarded as one of the key enterprises in provincial industry as well as one of the provincial high-tech enterprises. So far, the hand-hold orders rank top 20 and top 5 separately in international and domestic shipping industry.
