Norway: Kitron Inks Deal with Leading Supplier of Offshore Equipment

Kitron AS, a subsidiary of Kitron ASA, has signed a contract with a leading supplier of offshore equipment. The agreement covers the period 2012 to 2014. In this period the expected turnover under the contract is between NOK 200 and 300 million.

Kitron already has received purchase orders under the contract totaling NOK 25 million.

“This contract supports the positive trend in the Offshore/Marine segment” , said Jørgen Bredesen, CEO of Kitron ASA in an e-mailed statement to Offshore Energy Today.

Kitron is one of Scandinavia’s leading electronic manufacturing services companies for the Defence, Energy/Telecoms, Industry, Medical equipment and Offshore/Marine sectors. The company is located in Norway, Sweden, Lithuania, Germany, China and the United States. Kitron had a revenue of about NOK 1.6 billion in 2010 and has about 1,100 employees.
