Clean Energy Fuels Corp. has signed an agreement with leading national refuse company Waste Management to provide maintenance and repair services for its compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations throughout the United States.
Clean Energy also provides engineering and construction services, as well as compression equipment through its subsidiary, IMW Industries, at selected fueling stations.

Burke, Vice President, Clean Energy , said, “ We are delighted to have the opportunity to support Waste Management in its expanding efforts to deploy CNG truck fleets that provide environmentally-friendly refuse collection and recycling services to its commercial and residential customer base. It is a clear leader in the industry converting its fleets to natural gas .”
Waste Management currently deploys about 1,000 natural gas-powered (CNG and LNG) solid waste collection and recycling trucks throughout North America, and has CNG and LNG fueling stations at 17 of its facilities with more under development.
Natural gas fuel produces up to 23% percent lower greenhouse gas emissions in medium to heavy-duty vehicle applications. U.S. Department of Energy reports estimate that 98% of the natural gas consumed in the U.S. is sourced in the U.S. and Canada.
