Azerbaijan Ready for Gas Deliveries to Iran

Azerbaijan is ready to export gas to Iran, president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) said.

He went on to say that, there was a gas deal between two countries, but Azerbaijan has not started gas export yet. ‘ Azerbaijan is ready to export gas when Iranian side requests ‘, Fars News Agency reported.

It’s worth mentioning that, Azerbaijan exports 400 million cubic meters of natural gas to Iran per year to meet gas needs of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.
