Bergen Group Hanøytangen is awarded contract for a one-week yard stay for the accommodation rig Safe Caledonia. The yard stay will take place in Q4 this year, and represents the fourth rig project for Bergen Group Hanøytangen in the 2nd half of 2011.

During the yard stay that includes some modifications and inspections, the Prosafe Offshore Limited (Prosafe) managed Safe Caledonia will mobilise for it’s next assignment.

Safe Caledonia is the fourth rig project at Bergen Group Hanøytangen since August this year. This fall the offshore yard has completed rig projects on Deepsea Atlantic, Transocean Winner and a further Prosafe-rig: Safe Scandinavia. Safe Caledonia was built in 1982 at the GVA / Kockums yard in Sweden and upgraded to DP 2 / POSMOOR in 2004. The rig has a maximum of 387 beds and 75 workstations, and is able to serve the most demanding charters in all geographical areas.
