Gulfstream Services Inc, provider of cutting edge equipment to the international oil and gas industry, has been awarded a certification of ISO 9001:2008 for both its UK & US operations.

This prestigious accreditation is recognised worldwide and was awarded to both Gulfstream Services Inc covering its Gulf of Mexico operations and Gulfstream Services (UK) following an audit of its quality management system.

Gulfstream Services Inc was established in the US in 1978 and now has four bases across the states. Gulfstream Services UK was set up in January 2010 in Aberdeen to serve the international oil and gas industry and growing demand from customers in UK, Norway, Middle East, Asia and Africa.

The company comprises four divisions: Wireline, providing high quality pressure control equipment, Decommissioning, consisting of the company’s bespoke grapples and shears, Rental tools, for everyday work in the field, and its Cement Head Assembly division.

Brian Bordelon, quality systems manager, Gulfstream Services Inc , said: “ We are delighted to achieve this accreditation for both our businesses at the same time. It is a reward for our company’s commitment to provide a first class service to all our customers. To achieve this we have invested in an entire quality management system covering personnel, infrastructure and the consultants required to design and implement this system across all of Gulfstream’s product lines and the regions we operate in.

“Certified quality management systems have come to the forefront in the market and it was essential for us to have this recognition for our operations, in particular within the Gulf of Mexico region. We are continuing to make significant investments in developing and implementing a quality management system, including a focus on our newly formed employee competencies program that we have implemented across all product service lines.”

Gulfstream aims to provide innovative and cost efficient solutions to industry challenges and all of its products have evolved in line with customer requirements.
