The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA), with technical assistance from Telenor Maritime Radio, Radio Inspection, conducted an audit of the Gjøa facility during the period 26-27 September 2011.
The audit was a planned activity with a basis in the PSA’s prioritisation of major accident risk. The objective of the audit was to verify the technical condition and maintenance of radio and telecommunications systems on the facility, assessed against relevant requirements in the HSE regulations.
The overall impression following the audit of radio and telecommunications systems on Gjøa was good. One nonconformity was identified in relation to the position of communications manager.
