The Gazprom headquarters hosted yesterday a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee and Ajai Malhotra, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation.
The parties discussed the main areas of the Russian-Indian cooperation in the energy sector placing an emphasis on further LNG supplies to India.
“ In 2020 natural gas consumption in India will be 1.7 times more than today. Indian market is very promising for us and we take this into consideration while planning to construct export capacities under the Eastern Gas Program ,” said Alexey Miller.
