Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. said today that it has signed a deal to develop the Tamar gas field with Noble Energy Inc, Delek Group Ltd and Isramco Inc.
This deal could lead to a series of orders for LNG-FPSO units.
„ DSME hopes to win multiple orders for LNG floating production and storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels ,” Daewoo said in a statement.
The Tamar natural gas field is located in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Israel.
The gas field is located roughly 50 miles (80 km) west of Haifa in waters 5,500 feet (1,700 m) deep.
