WeserWind and Alstom Bag Contract for Baltic 2 Substation (Germany)

EnBW has commissioned a consortium consisting of the WeserWind and Alstom to build the substation for Baltic 2 offshore wind farm. Wind farm will consist of 80 Seiemens’ 3,6MW wind turbines located 32 km north of the island Rügen.

Alstom will be in charge of electrical construction and Weser Wind in charge of steel construction.

Substation is expected to be completed by the end of 2012.
