Athens-based Maran Gas Maritime has agreed to exercise options held with South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries for two LNG Tankers, according to media reports.
The LNG tankers are worth $200m each and HHI will deliver the two tankers in December 2014 and April 2015.
The Company declined to comment when contacted by LNG World News.
Maran Gas has earlier this year ordered two LNG tankers at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.
Athens-based Maran Gas Maritime Inc. is the gas shipping unit of the Angelicoussis Shipping Group Limited (ASGL) and it was set up in 2003 to manage the LNG and LPG carriers of ASGL.
