Russia plans to increase LNG supplies to India in 2016, RIA Novosti reported, citing Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
“ Gazprom has signed the memoranda covering major supplies of LNG to India with several Indian companies, ” Medvedev said.
India’s ONGC is in talks with Russian Gazprom to jointly develop projects to produce liquefied natural gas, India’s oil ministry said in a statement this month.
The county’s LNG import capacity will jump more than three-fold by the middle of the decade, finance director of Petronet LNG recently said.
