On 7 and 8 December 2011, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) carried out an audit of Statoil in connection with the engineering of load-bearing structures on Valemon’s jacket.
Objective
The objective was, through spot checks, to ensure the engineering of the load-bearing structures is taking place pursuant to the applicable regulatory framework.
Results
No nonconformities were identified.
Improvement items were identified in connection with:
* The scope of verifications
* Effect of weight increase in the event of a fire
* Attenuation of jacket structures
