GDF SUEZ E&P Norge was awarded three partnership licenses and two operatorships in the North Sea through the Awards in Predefined Areas round for 2011.

The two operatorships are located in the Gjøa area (PL 636 and PL 634). Two of the partnership licenses are located in the northern North Sea, and the third is in the southern part of the North Sea.

The Norwegian Government offers a total of 60 production licenses to 42 companies in APA 2011. Twenty-seven of the companies are being offered operatorships. APA 2011 is the most extensive licensing round ever undertaken on the Norwegian continental shelf, in terms of both the number of companies and the number of production licenses awarded.
